Eric, Donna, and Greg were able to subdue some of the 3 biggest bears seen on the course. There were a total of 48 bears seen on the course that day. Our 7:1 ratio of Bears-after-which-the-race-was-named-seen-on-the-course:Runners is likely a world record. It's at least a record for Watauga County.
